AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF THE CARRINGTON SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT IN WATERBURY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 10-283 of the general statutes or any regulation adopted by the State Board of Education that requires school building projects that have changed in scope or cost to be included on the listing of eligible school building projects prepared by the Commissioner of Education and submitted to the Governor and the General Assembly, the city of Waterbury may change the scope of the project at the Carrington School (Project Number 151-0275 EA) to a new construction and shall be eligible to subsequently be considered for a grant commitment from the state, provided plans and specifications have been approved by the Department of Education's Bureau of School Facilities. Statement of Purpose: To reclassify the school building project at the Carrington School in Waterbury as a new construction with a change in scope.
