AN ACT CONCERNING A DEDUCTION FROM THE INCOME TAX FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to provide a deduction from the income tax for medical expenses and deductibles paid through the year.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow a deduction of up to two thousand five hundred dollars on an individual's state income tax for medical expenses and deductibles.
