AN ACT CONCERNING VENDING MACHINE SALES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subdivision (27) of section 12-412 of the 2010 supplement to the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2010, and applicable to sales on and after October 1, 2010):
(27) (A) Sales of any items for fifty cents or less from vending machines; or (B) notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision (13) of this section, meals or healthy snacks sold through coin-operated vending machines or at unattended "honor boxes". For the purposes of this section, "healthy snacks" means any fruit or vegetable or any item containing less than one hundred twenty calories per serving.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
