1224 AN ACT CONCERNING STUDENT TUITION AT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

1426 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

1628 Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 10a-77 of the 2010 supplement to the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2010):

18-(a) Subject to the provisions of section 10a-26, the Board of Trustees of the Community-Technical Colleges shall fix fees for tuition at the regional community-technical colleges and shall fix fees for such other purposes as the board deems necessary at the regional community-technical colleges, and may make refunds to the same. The board of trustees shall notify the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education, in writing, immediately upon the publication of the board's agenda for any meeting at which the board will consider for a vote a reduction, increase or maintenance of the fees for tuition.
30+(a) Subject to the provisions of section 10a-26, the Board of Trustees of the Community-Technical Colleges shall fix fees for tuition at the regional community-technical colleges and shall fix fees for such other purposes as the board deems necessary at the regional community-technical colleges, and may make refunds to the same. The board of trustees shall notify the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education, in writing, immediately upon the publication of the board's agenda for any meeting at which the board will consider a reduction, increase or maintenance of the fees for tuition.
