2424 AN ACT PROVIDING LOCAL JURISDICTION FOR VICTIMS OF TORTIOUS CONDUCT.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

(NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) The Superior Court shall have jurisdiction of any civil action for a tort committed in violation of the law of nations or a treaty of the United States and, subject to the common law doctrine of forum non conveniens, shall hear any such civil action in tort only if:

3434 (3) Any defendant in such action owns property located in this state;
