Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) (a) The parties to any commercial transaction may agree that the law of this state shall govern their rights and duties with respect to such transaction, in whole or in part, whether or not such transaction bears a reasonable relation to this state. (b) The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to any agreement (1) for labor or personal services, or (2) relating to any transaction for personal, family or household services. (c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit or prohibit the applicability or enforcement of any other conflict of laws rule of this state concerning the ability of parties to a commercial transaction to agree to the law that shall govern their rights and duties with respect to such transaction.
