2424 AN ACT CONCERNING EXPENDITURES OF STATE AGENCIES PROVIDING PUBLIC HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

28-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2010) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall review the programs and services administered or provided by each state agency that provides public health, mental health or developmental services to residents of the state in order to: (1) Evaluate the cost-effectiveness and benefits of such programs and services; and (2) assign priority for the continued funding of such programs and services. The secretary shall submit, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies not later than January 1, 2011, and annually thereafter.
