AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SEPARATE ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPOSIT OF NUCLEAR WASTE PAYMENTS DUE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create a separate, interest-bearing account for the deposit of nuclear waste payments that will be due to the federal government at a future date.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a nuclear waste repository account that will enable the state to have designated funds to pay its nuclear waste liability at a future date.
