AN ACT RECONSTITUTING THE CONNECTICUT CAPITOL CENTER COMMISSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 4b-66a of the general statutes be amended to change the membership of the Connecticut Capitol Center Commission to add one member of the Hartford Court of Common Council and two members of the Hartford 2000 Board of Directors and to remove the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, the Commissioners of Public Works and Community and Development, the chairperson of the Hartford Commission on the City Plan, and a member from the South Downtown Neighborhood Revitalization Committee, and that section 4b-66 of the general statutes be amended to require the commission to submit a revised master plan to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations, government administration and finance not later than July 1, 2012.
Statement of Purpose:
To reconstitute the Connecticut Capitol Center Commission in order to create a better partnership between the city of Hartford and the state of Connecticut for the preservation of city treasures in the capitol region.
