AN ACT REQUIRING THE PRODUCTION OF LINE ITEM BUDGET CHANGES BY LOCAL BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require local boards of education to produce a written list of line item changes to the school budget not later than thirty days after the board of finance finalizes the town's annual budget.
Statement of Purpose:
To give local boards of finance more time to prepare for and understand changes that are made to the town budget by the local board of education.
