2929 AN ACT PROVIDING STATE AID TO A MUNICIPALITY IN WHICH A STATE-OPERATED SEXUAL OFFENDER TREATMENT FACILITY IS LOCATED.

3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

3333 That chapter 201 of the general statutes be amended to provide a state grant in lieu of taxes to any municipality in which a sexual offender treatment facility is operated under contract with the Department of Correction or the Court Support Services Division of the Judicial Department, and provide that the amount of such grant shall equal two hundred per cent of the property taxes which would have been paid with respect to the facility by a private party in the relevant fiscal year.
