AN ACT DIRECTING THE PROGRAM REVIEW AND INVESTIGATIONS COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE STATE SPENDING CAP.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the General Assembly direct the Program Review and Investigations Committee to conduct a study of the state spending cap, which shall include an evaluation of the effectiveness of the cap in meeting its constitutional and statutory charges and any unintended consequences of the cap, and to make recommendations for reforms.

Statement of Purpose: 

To evaluate the effectiveness and impacts of the state spending cap and to make recommendations for reform.
