AN ACT CONCERNING THE POSTING OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES IN SCHOOLS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to require local and regional boards of education to post the Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States in the entranceway of all publics schools located in the district. The local or regional board of education shall have control over the size and formatting of each document and may delegate such decision making to the principal of the school in which the documents will be posted. Statement of Purpose: To require that the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States be posted in the entranceway of all public schools to express that public school education is based on the same values and principles found in these documents.
