AN ACT ESTABLISHING A ONE-STOP BUSINESSES ASSISTANCE UNIT WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish within the Department of Economic and Community Development a one-stop, single point of entry to provide case managers to work with state businesses, providing guidance, assistance, information and instruction regarding the businesses' responsibilities, including, but not limited to, obtaining licenses or permits, paying any fees or taxes, or qualifying for grants or loans.

Statement of Purpose: 

To streamline the process of doing business in Connecticut by establishing a one-stop shop with case mangers within the Department of Economic and Community Development.
