AN ACT CONCERNING A BAN ON TAX CREDITS TO ANY CORPORATION USING CORPORATE MONEY FOR POLITICAL OR PUBLIC POLICY ADVERTISING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require, as a condition of receiving any tax credits from the state, a corporation must agree that the corporation or any related corporate entity, or any person or entity acting on the corporation's behalf will not use any corporate money for television, radio, print, mail or Internet communication to influence any election, referendum or public policy decision.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ban tax credits to any corporation using corporate money for political or public policy advertising.
