AN ACT REQUIRING THE COLLECTION OF A DNA SAMPLE FROM A PERSON UPON A FELONY ARREST.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 54-102g, 54-102h and 54-102l of the general statutes be amended to require the collection of a DNA sample from any person arrested for the commission of a felony. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To expand the DNA collection program and close any loopholes in the current system.
