AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS OVER THE INTERNET IN THIS STATE BY OUT-OF-STATE COMPANIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require that out-of-state corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other business entities that sell goods or services over the Internet to residents in this state shall be deemed to be transacting business in this state and shall register with the Secretary of the State as a foreign corporation, partnership, company or other entity as applicable. Statement of Purpose: To facilitate state residents suing foreign companies in this state and to provide additional tax revenue.
