25 | 25 | That the general statutes be amended to provide that prior to the sentencing of a person convicted of a nonviolent offense, the prosecutor shall provide the sentencing judge with information on the estimated costs of the various sentencing alternatives available to the judge including the cost of incarceration as contrasted with the cost of community-based alternatives to incarceration. | |
