AN ACT AUTHORIZING MUNICIPALITIES TO LEVY LOCAL OPTION TAXES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize municipalities to levy local option taxes including, but not limited to, a local hotel tax, a land value tax, a local sales tax or an income tax.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize alternative means for municipalities to raise revenue.
