AN ACT AUTHORIZING BICYCLISTS TO CROSS THE HOUSATONIC RAILROAD AT GRADE IN NEW MILFORD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) On and after the effective date of this section, bicyclists shall be authorized to cross, via a bicycle path, the Housatonic Railroad at grade crossing located in Sega Meadows Park in New Milford subject to the following: (1) The use of the crossing and the Housatonic Railroad shall be subject to the protections set forth in sections 52-557f to 52-557i, inclusive, of the general statutes; (2) the authorization for the crossing shall exclude motorized vehicles; (3) crossbucks shall be installed at the crossing; and (4) the crossing shall be constructed and maintained at the expense of the town of New Milford.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
