AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES TO EXTEND THE OPERATOR'S LICENSE RENEWAL DATE FOR CERTAIN INCARCERATED PERSONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Motor Vehicles, upon written request of an incarcerated person who responds to a renewal notice for such person's operator's license, to extend the expiration date of such person's license for two years or thirty days from such person's date of release. Statement of Purpose: To give incarcerated persons an opportunity to renew their motor vehicle operator's license.
