AN ACT PROVIDING UNIFORM FINES FOR VARIOUS ILLEGAL USES OF A CELLULAR TELEPHONE WHILE OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the provisions of section 14-296aa of the general statutes, concerning fines for illegal use of a cellular telephone, be amended to provide that any person who violates any provision of said section shall be fined one hundred dollars for a first violation, one hundred fifty dollars for a second violation and two hundred dollars for a third or subsequent violation. Statement of Purpose: To provide uniform fines for various illegal uses of a cellular telephone while operating a motor vehicle.
