2323 AN ACT REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF THE SURETY BOND FURNISHED BY APPLICANTS FOR A NEW OR USED CAR DEALER'S LICENSE.

2525 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2727 That subdivision (2) of subsection (b) of section 14-52 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the surety bond that applicants for a new car dealer's or a used car dealer's license are required to furnish from fifty thousand dollars to twenty thousand dollars.

3131 To repeal the increase in the amount of the surety bond made by public act 10-110. The increase adds approximately five hundred dollars to the amount of the yearly payment and is a major hardship for the little guys who mostly repair cars and occasionally sell one.
