AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE VIOLATION UPON THE MAKING OF A CHARITABLE DONATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 54-56h of the general statutes be amended to authorize a prosecutor to enter a nolle prosequi with respect to a motor vehicle violation if the defendant has made a monetary contribution to a charity designated by the prosecutor.
Statement of Purpose:
To create an efficient way to dispose of minor motor vehicle violations.
