| 26 | 26 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: | |

| 28 | 28 | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2011) Any order for the closure of a highway or the prohibition of certain vehicles from using a highway shall be issued by the Governor. In issuing such order, the Governor shall attempt to provide notice in advance of such closure, including an estimate of the duration of such closure and any other related information. Any such order shall be disseminated to the general public through the press, radio, television and other appropriate methods. Nothing in this section shall affect the ability of law enforcement or emergency personnel to close a specific section of highway due to a motor vehicle accident or other emergency. | |
