2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

(NEW) (Effective from passage) Whenever any person is convicted of a violation of section 53a-54b of the general statutes and committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Correction, the commissioner shall place such person in a maximum security correctional institution and segregate such person from the general inmate population of that institution for the duration of such person's sentence.
