Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. Section 1-84a of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): No former executive or legislative branch or quasi-public agency public official or state employee shall disclose or use confidential information acquired in the course of and by reason of [his] such official's or employee's official duties, for financial gain for [himself] such official or employee or another person.
