AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR A FIREFIGHTER VILLAGE IN THE EIGHTH DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate _____ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to a municipality located in the eighth senate district that has donated land to build affordable housing dedicated to providing housing for active members of the municipality's volunteer fire department, for purposes of building such affordable housing.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize bonds of the state to build a firefighter village in the eighth senate district.
