AN ACT ESTABLISHING A HABITAT RESTORATION MATCHING FUND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Environmental Protection to work in conjunction with the Department of Motor Vehicles to establish a Habitat Restoration Matching Fund consisting of voluntary donations. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To leverage federal funds to help restore habitats and, in the process, create jobs.
