AN ACT CONCERNING THE TAXATION OF EXPORTED REFUSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that refuse that is created in this state and that is exported out of state be taxed at the same rate as refuse which is not exported out of this state.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the negative environmental effect of exporting waste and to provide fuel for in-state trash to energy facilities.
