AN ACT CONCERNING THE TAXATION OF SMOKELESS TOBACCO.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to reinstate the progressive ad valorem method of taxation on snuff smokeless tobacco and eliminate the current weight-based taxation.
Statement of Purpose:
To reinstate the progressive ad valorem method of taxation on snuff smokeless tobacco and eliminate the current weight-based taxation.
