AN ACT CONCERNING PERSISTENT DANGEROUS FELONY OFFENDERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subdivision (2) of subsection (h) of section 53a-40 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person convicted of a third dangerous felony shall be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Statement of Purpose: 

To remove violent criminals from society by enacting a true "three strikes" law.
