2423 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS.

2625 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

28-Section 1. (Effective from passage) On or before January 1, 2012, the Labor Commissioner shall submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to unemployment compensation. Such report shall make recommendations for the improvement of the TeleBenefits unemployment compensation claim telephone filing system, including recommendations for (1) improvements for individuals who work on a part-time and an on-call basis who are required to file a weekly continued claim whether or not the individual worked, and (2) administrative or legislative action related to facilitating the filing of unemployment compensation claims.
