AN ACT CONCERNING THE COST OF HEATH INSURANCE COPAYMENTS AND PREMIUMS PAID BY STATE LEGISLATORS AND LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 18a of the general statutes be amended to increase health insurance copayments and premiums for elected officials and legislative staff who are under the auspices of the Joint Committee on Legislative Management.
Statement of Purpose:
To create parity between state-sponsored health care and private employer sponsored health care in order to bring down overall health care costs in the state.
