AN ACT CONCERNING GROUP HOME REPORTS OF CERTAIN EVENTS TO LICENSING AGENCIES AND LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require a group home licensed by a state agency to (1) notify the licensing agency and the local police department of any incident involving violence, abuse, disturbance of the peace, escape by a resident or the inability to locate a resident for more than two hours, and (2) make a report of any such incident available for public inspection.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require group homes to report certain events to their licensing agency and to the local police department.
