AN ACT CONCERNING NEWLY-HIRED STATE EMPLOYEES AND DEFINED CONTRIBUTION BENEFIT PLANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all newly-hired employees entering state service to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan rather than the current defined benefit system.
Statement of Purpose:
To change the state employee pension from a defined benefit plan to a defined contribution plan.
