AN ACT CONCERNING THE TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OF TEACHERS AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AT LOW ACHIEVING SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That part II of chapter 166 of the general statutes be amended to allow superintendents to terminate the employment of teachers and school administrators employed at schools that have been designated and listed as a low achieving school pursuant to subsection (c) of section 10-223e of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow superintendents to replace substandard teachers and school administrators at low achieving schools.
