AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCOME TAX RATE FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who owns a small business and has added one or more full-time employees in the taxable year shall be subject to a rate of tax on such person's personal income tax of not more than five per cent.

Statement of Purpose: 

To repeal the increase in the income tax rate for small business owners who have created jobs.
