AN ACT CONCERNING MERIT INCREASES IN LIEU OF LONGEVITY PAYMENTS FOR CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide merit increases in lieu of longevity payments for state employees not subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide merit increases rather than automatic longevity payments to certain state employees.
