AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A WORKING GROUP TO STUDY STATE CONTRACTING WITH HOSPITALS AND NONPROFIT HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the chairpersons of the Public Health Committee shall convene a working group to study the contracting process between state agencies, hospitals and nonprofit health care providers, with the goals of reducing the administrative burdens associated with the application and contracting processes and expediting services for state residents. Statement of Purpose: To study the contracting process utilized by the state for the delivery of medical care by state agencies in order to achieve savings and administrative efficiencies.
