AN ACT CONCERNING SECRET BALLOTS AND THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 1-210 of the general statutes be amended to clarify that the secret ballots used for the election of an officer of a volunteer fire department are not subject to disclosure.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit members of a volunteer fire department to elect officers by secret ballot without having their votes disclosed.
