AN ACT CONCERNING THE MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN RENTAL PROPERTIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to permit the owners of residential rental properties to perform work and maintenance on such properties, provided (1) such owners possess certain credentials, such as a mechanic's license or a degree in engineering, and (2) the properties on which such owners are performing work contain four or fewer dwelling units.

Statement of Purpose: 

To support small business property owners who possess certain credentials in the maintenance and upkeep of their properties.
