AN ACT CONCERNING NEW STATE EMPLOYEES AND DEFINED CONTRIBUTION BENEFIT PLANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all new employees entering state service after June 1, 2011, to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan rather than the current defined benefit system.
Statement of Purpose:
To require new state employees to pay a greater share of their retirement benefits.
