21 | 21 | AN ACT REQUIRING A COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF STATE REGULATIONS. | |

23 | 23 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: | |

25 | 25 | That the general statutes be amended to require (1) the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to (A) conduct, in consultation with each state agency, not later than July 1, 2015, a quantitative and qualitative review of the costs and benefits of all state regulations; and (B) submit a report to the Governor and the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to commerce on the progress of the review required under subparagraph (A) and containing a list of any regulations deemed by the commissioner to have a greater cost than benefit; and (2) the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to regulations to work with the committees of cognizance to hold public hearings on such regulations and, when needed, request the agency to amend or repeal regulations with a greater cost than benefit. | |
