AN ACT CONCERNING THE DETERMINATION OF THE DATE FOR HOLDING MUNICIPAL REFERENDA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the date for a referendum be determined at least one month prior to holding the vote for such referendum and that absentee ballots be available at least fourteen days prior to such vote.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the voting rights of all citizens.
