AN ACT CONCERNING CONDOMINIUM FORECLOSURE ACTIONS FOR PAST-DUE ASSESSMENTS AND FINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 47-77 and 47-258 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a condominium association or a unit owners' association from foreclosing on a unit or on a lien on a unit for assessments and fines due unless the assessments and fines are at least three months past due or constitute an amount of two thousand dollars or more.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit a condominium association from foreclosing on a unit unless the overdue assessments and fines are at least three months past due or total at least two thousand dollars.
