2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. Subsection (h) of section 31-53 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2011):

3030 (h) The provisions of this section do not apply where the total cost of all work to be performed by all contractors and subcontractors in connection with new construction of any public works project is less than [four] eight hundred thousand dollars or where the total cost of all work to be performed by all contractors and subcontractors in connection with any remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any public works project is less than [one] two hundred thousand dollars.
