AN ACT CONCERNING MASS TRANSIT FARES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) On or before January 1, 2013, the Commissioner of Transportation shall report in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation regarding recent mass transit fare increases, including, but not limited to, scheduled future increases, the effect of such fare increases on ridership, and the extent to which such fare increases are used to fund mass transit purchases and maintenance.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

To require a study on the state's mass transit fares.
