AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPALITIES AND SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Section 22a-208a of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (k) as follows (Effective from passage):
(NEW) (k) Nothing in this chapter or in chapter 446e shall be construed to limit the right of a municipality to regulate land use and solid waste disposal, including, but not limited to, the right of a municipality to approve or deny certain solid waste management practices or sites.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To allow municipalities to regulate solid waste disposal within their borders.
