AN ACT ESTABLISHING A DEFINED CONTRIBUTION BENEFIT PLAN FOR UNCLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all state employees and officials exempt from classified service to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan rather than the current defined benefit system.
Statement of Purpose:
To help save the state money by shifting certain state employees to a different benefit plan.
